“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the Children Of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; ...” Romans 8:16-17a
To glorify God through the advancement of the church and the holistic nurturance of all people. Being led by the Holy Spirit, we purpose to commit ourselves to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; to walk circumspectly in love for one another; and to train future generations in the admonition of God our Father.
We are the physical presence of Jesus Christ glorifying God and changing lives through faith, hope, and love. “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Cor.13:13
The Bible, the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, the divine and final authority for faith and life, and the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Matt. 5:18; John 16:12-13)
There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. co–eternal in being, co–eternal in nature, co–equal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections (Deut. 6:4; 2 Cor. 13:14).
Jesus Christ became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary(John 1:1-2, 14; Luke 1:35). He died on the cross, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. (Rom. 3:24; 1 Peter 2:24; Eph. 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3–5; Acts 1:9-10; Heb. 7:25, 9:24; Rom. 8:34; 1 John 2:1–2).
The Holy Spirit
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. Man - Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained(John 16:8–11; 2 Cor. 3:6; 1 Cor.12:12–14; Rom. 8:9; Eph. 5:18).
The shed blood of Jesus Christ on Calvary and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God. The Return of Jesus Christ - The personal, pre-millennial, and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ is our hope and has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer(Eph. 1:7, 2:8–10; John 1:12; 1 Peter 1:18–19).
Baptism and Communion
Water baptism by immersion after accepting Christ as personal Savior, is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life. The Lord's Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers and only believers should share in it(Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; 18:8; 1 Cor. 11:23–26).
The true Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head(Eph. 1:22-23; 5:25–27; 1 Cor. 12:12–14; 2 Cor.11:2).
